The War Versus Hashem

It is noteworthy that the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite) Movement chose the rainbow as its symbolic colors. The rainbow is associated with the Flood in the time of Noach. In the Zohar, Rebbe Shimon Bar Yochai states: “Behold, the generation of the Flood was not considered completely guilty until they sexually corrupted (l’hashchit) their ways on the earth. Rashi explains that the promiscuity was so wanton, even different species of animals mated together (Bereshit, 6:12).

The Torah transgression concerning homosexuality has blemished the Jewish Nation ever since the Exodus from Egypt. Hashem commands us, “Remember what Amalek did to you by the way, when you were coming out of Egypt, how He met you by the way and smote the hindmost of you, all that were feeble in the rear…” (Devarim, 25:17). What are we called upon to remember? In his commentary to the verse, Rashi explains, “met you by the way” (“karcha”) as meaning the impurity of homosexual relations, from the word “keri,” meaning seminal emission. Amalek lured weak tribesmen of Dan into transgression and when the Clouds of Glory spit them out from under its protection, Amalek killed them. Today, the spirit of Amalek in the world is still trying to uproot the holiness of Israel by exporting its polluted culture to the Holy Land, hoping to severe our connection with Hashem (G-d forbid) and thus remove the Divine Presence from the world.

What a person does in the privacy of his or her, or “his-her” own home is between the person and G-d. Public parades are of a different nature altogether, like the different natures of the gay paraders themselves. When people come together to parade for a cause, their action is clearly meant as a public statement. When they parade along the streets of the Holy City of Jerusalem, in disdain and defiance of city residents and the standards of Divine Morality which the city of Jerusalem represents to the vast majority of people on Earth, then their parade, rainbow flags, flaunting and frivolous behavior and dress, all become conscious provocations directed against G-d and His Torah, against the sacred foundations of the Jewish Nation, and against the people who hold the commandments of the Torah close to their heart. When the leaders of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gays, Belittlers of Torah) ignore the sincere appeals of those whose sacred beliefs they trample, and manipulate judicial means to squash the majority who disagree with their purposely public displays, then their campaign becomes a campaign of terror which seeks to inflict their uncontrolled lusts on others with the goal of turning their perversions into normalcy and uprooting the Torah and the Holy One Blessed Be He from the Israelite Nation, may G-d have mercy on us all.

Opposition to the Lesbians, Gays Belittlers of Torah Movement is not directed against these misguided individuals, whose abnormality draws our natural feelings of compassion toward all people who suffer from physical or mental disease. Rather, the opposition comes to save the Nation, as the Torah portion of “Achrei Mot” makes clear – the punishment for sexual misconduct is national destruction and exile, Heaven forbid, from the Land (Vayikra, 18:28).

The Baal HaTanya explains that while all transgressions blemish the spiritual channel which brings Divine blessing to the world, sexual transgressions cause the most damage (Igeret HaTshuva, Ch. 6).

In the holy treatise, “Reshit Chochmah,” it is explained that the ten tribes of Israel, violated all the commandments of the Torah, but exile was only decreed upon them when they transgressed the laws of proper sexual conduct (see the “Gate of Kedusha”).

Referring to the sexual decline of his time, the Prophet Isaiah declares: “Your sins have made a separation between you and your G-d,” (Isaiah, 59: 1-2).

In the holy Zohar, Rebbe Shimon Bar Yochai teaches: “Behold, every sin which is committed openly repels the Shechinah from the world and removes her habitation from the Earth. The people in the time of Noach committed their sins openly in a spirit of defiance and drove the Shechinah away from the world until the Blessed One Holy Be He thrust them away from Him and removed them from the world,” (Zohar, Bereshit 57B).

Rebbe Shimon also taught: “There is nothing in the world that so arouses the zealousness of the Blessed One Holy Be He as the sin of transgressing the Covenant of sexual purity, as is said, ‘And I will bring a sword upon you that shall avenge My Covenant,” (Zohar, Vayikra, 26:25).

The rainbow is the sign of the Covenant of the Brit. Its arch is pointed upward, like the arch of a bow, away from the Earth, to inform us that Hashem will not destroy mankind again with a Flood, like in the days of Noach. “With a Flood,” our Sages emphasize, reminding us that Hashem has many weapons of punishment in His holy quiver, G-d forbid.

It is all up to us.
