A boy of about 11 suffered severe injuries on Monday morning after a fire broke out in a home in the coastal city of Netanya.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics evacuated the boy to Sheba Medical Center, with burns across his entire body.
A 42-year-old man was also evacuated from the scene, and transferred to Laniado Hospital with moderate injuries from smoke inhalation. Three other victims were lightly injured.
MDA paramedic Rafi Sheva said, "We arrived in large forces and joined the firefighters who were working at the scene and who evacuated out to us an 11-year-old boy who suffered burns to his body. We provided him with medical aid, including sedation and respiration, and transferred him to Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital in serious condition."
"Other victims who were outside the scene suffered from smoke inhalation and were treated by large MDA staffs, and evacuated to Laniado Hospital. One of them was in moderate condition and the rest were in light condition."
