Residents of northern Gaza have been attempting to return to their homes since the four-day ceasefire went into effect at 7 am this morning (Friday), ignoring the IDF's warnings not to do so, according to Arabic media reports.

According to the reports, the IDF used tear gas and riot dispersal measures to drive away residents who attempted to return to their homes.

It is believed that these are residents who hid in nearby schools during the battles between the IDF and the Hamas terrorist organization and not those who fled to the southern part of the Gaza Strip as the IDF requested when the war broke out.

Gazan journalists reported that so far those who fled to southern Gaza have not been able to reach northern Gaza.

In the meantime, the IDF distributed leaflets throughout the Gaza Strip overnight warning the residents not to approach the areas where battles occurred because by doing so they would be putting their lives at risk and that traffic is only allowed south.

The IDF maintains that northern Gaza is still a warzone and that the combat will resume when the current four-day ceasefire expires.

The IDF spokesperson announced that the military completed its operational preparations according to the combat lines of the four-day ceasefire.

Earlier today, IDF troops destroyed a route of underground tunnels and a number of tunnel shafts in the area of the al-Shifa Hospital.

Over the last day and night, IDF troops on the ground, in the air, and at sea continued to strike terror targets, operate in different areas to locate suspicious structures, and engage with terrorists. In addition, the forces struck a terror tunnel route, which was identified over the past few days.

In one video, a Gazan resident who surveyed the destruction from the war stated that "it's all be cause of Hamas. Hamas destroyed our lives."
