Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett attended the first annual Korea-Israel Conference in South Korea last week.

The Korea-Israel Conference was created in 2022 following the signing of a free trade agreement between Israel and South Korea in 2021 to connect Israeli start-up tech companies with Korean manufacturing companies. The conference was held at the The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel and was attended by 400 people, including government officials, businessmen, and academics from both countries.

During his visit today (Thursday), Bennett received a tour of the demilitarized zone on the border between North Korea and South Korea and visited the The War Memorial Of Korea in Seol. He also held an economic meeting with representatives of all South Korean provinces and met with South Korean MPs.

In what he called a "marathon" of economic meetings, Bennett met with the chairman of the LOTTE company.

During his meetings in South Korea, Bennett emphasized the "tremendous opportunities in Israel."
