Israel will switch to Summer Time (Daylight Saving Time) this coming Friday, in the early hours of the morning.
The switch will take place at two a.m. on March 25, as the law states, when the clocks will be put forward.
Summer Time is set to end on October 30, 2022, (Saturday night).
Several months ago, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked announced that the government intends to lengthen Daylight Saving Time by around three weeks, leading to savings for the economy and making things easier for schoolchildren and those who pray in the mornings before going to work. Shaked pointed out that the United States has also brought Summer Time forward to the beginning of March, but her suggestion was not ultimately adopted.
