A New Year message from the OU:
Praying for you in the month of Elul
May this be a year in which our 'ani' expands until another Jew’s hopes become our hopes, another Jew’s pain becomes our pain, and another Jew’s joy becomes our joy.

OU Executive Vice President Rabbi Dr. Josh Joseph reveals how antisemitism has fueled a dramatic surge in Jewish identity and engagement.

We are not suffering the impact of our forefathers' sins, I fear we are perpetuating them.

A Theology of Humility - both horizontally and vertically.

Those who live in Israel sacrifice daily for the dream of Jewish peoplehood. We in the US, who do not yet live there, have a greater obligation to demonstrate that nothing, not ideology or geographical distance, can hold us apart.

One more day of fighting, Esther begged Ahasueros. One more day of humility, she hoped. One more day of unity, she dreamed. Let us join her prayer and act upon it this year.

These are dark times for the Jewish People, but we are not without hope. And our fire will not be consumed.

It is all too easy to look around us and feel hopeless...
