The Labor party is expected to oppose the Judea and Samaria regulations that will be brought to the Knesset plenum this evening for a vote, which the party claims will harm Israel's security.

"The current government strives to promote the messianic vision of Smotrich and Ben-Gvir and endangers the existence of the Jewish and democratic state of Israel," the Labor party said in a statement.

"Unlike previous governments, which understood that this was a temporary arrangement on the way to a political solution, given the composition of the current government, where the Civil Administration is subordinated to Smotrich's control, these are regulations for annexation that are opposed to Zionism. They are the opposite of security, and will allow Smotrich to realize and implement his nationalistic, messianic, dangerous plans.

"The Labor Party refuses to cooperate with Netanyahu, who in his attempt to escape justice is allowing Smotrich to lead Israel to the devastation of annexation. The Labor faction calls on the other opposition factions not to vote with this dangerous coalition. The Labor Party will fight this dangerous coalition, and will resolutely oppose any step that would lead the State of Israel to become a binational state. We will continue to fight for the Zionist vision of a safe and secure home for the Jewish people," the party's statement concluded.
