Tens of thousands of visitors visited Gush Etzion over the past two days.

One of the most popular sites was the Herodium, the ruins of an ancient palace and town built by Herod on a hilltop in the Judean desert.

Another popular destination was Havat Eretz Haayalim – Deer Land – which had to close its gates to newcomers as roughly 6,000 people came to visit. Deer Land boasts many attractions, including a climbing wall, carousel, and bungee trampoline.

In addition, the new visitors' center in Kfar Etzion was filled to capacity, and thousands of visitors also thronged the Tzomet Institute in Alon Shvut.

Israel's largest kite festival will take place in Pnei Kedem Tuesday, where a concert with Israeli pop artist Shlomi Shabat will be offered.

"Anyone who has not yet come is invited to join, spend time here, and get to know Gush Eztion. We have everything here," said Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shlomo Ne'eman.
