Israel's former ambassador to the United Nations (UN), MK Danny Danon, met in the Knesset with a delegation of parliamentarians from European countries - Belgium, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, France, and Poland.
Danon presented the participants with the atrocities committed by Hamas in the October 7 terror attack, and said that, "Israel must not accept the existence of a terrorist organization in the style of ISIS near Israel's border. This time, we must not stop until the organization is overthrown and the Strip made safe from north to south."
The members of the European delegation expressed support for Israel and its right to defend itself against murderous terrorist attacks, and stated that they unreservedly support overthrowing the Hamas regime in Gaza.
The meeting with members of the European Parliament was held at the initiative of the American Jewish Committee, which works to create international legitimacy for Israel to eradicate the rule of Hamas.
"This time we have full international backing to eliminate the rule of Hamas. At the meeting, I explained to the members of the delegation that the atrocities committed by Hamas leave the State of Israel no choice. Our obligation to the residents of the south and to the State of Israel is to continue the work until all the captives are released and the Hamas regime overthrown. The State of Israel must not stop until the task is completed," Danon concluded.
