Regional Cooperation Minister David (Dudi) Amsalem (Likud) on Wednesday morning spoke to the Knesset plenum, blasting Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

Barak, Amsalem said, "sits in towers in Tel Aviv. Every morning he takes out a cigar, plays in his Rolex, drinks a short espresso with macaroon cookies, and violates the law. But no one will arrest him, why? Because he's not David Amsalem."

"Ehud Barak does not know how to do anything other than weapons dealings. The Wexner fund is connected to the protests against the judicial reform. The fund connects to the protests, and the protests connect to MK [Orit] Farkash[-Hacohen] (National Unity) who screamed - she was in the Wexner Fund." he added.

"If 10,000 shekel were to be deposited in my account, I assume that they [police] would already be in my house, shackling me hand and foot. They already have taken me twice that way."

The Wexner Fund transferred $2.3 million in funds to Ehud Barak for research studies, one of which was never published. Several prominent members of the Left have been beneficiaries of the Fund's Harvard training program, including MK Farkash-Hacohen. The PMO suspended cooperation with the fund in 2020 over the allegations.

Later, Amsalem slammed Baharav-Miara, saying, "Damage to security is a real threat right now to the stability of the democratic State of Israel. She is the most dangerous person today in the State of Israel - until we move her from there, and we needed to move her yesterday already."

Regarding the refusal of some anti-government activists to continue serving in the army, Amsalem said, "How did we reach a situation where there are places in the army that there are islands of the Left who grab the State by the throat? I see a grandfather, father, and son, and I understand that there is an incident here. The grandfather is a pilot. The father is a pilot. The son is a pilot. The grandson will be a pilot as well. There are no other people in the country. We need to support the IDF so that it is an army of the people, not an army in which there are elites."
