Here in the thick of the month of Elul we are busy at work, trying to rediscover our true selves.
Sometimes it's like all out warfare and we must rise above ourselves in order to emerge victoriously. Sometimes it's just a matter of being mindful of the beautiful world that G-d has created for us, and doing our best to care for it and treat all living things with compassion.
