Former Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar (National Unity) has sharply attacked the current holder of the position, Yariv Levin (Likud) following criticism Levin leveled at the Attorney-General.

"The Justice Minister expects the Attorney-General and government legal advisers to be potted plants and to enable him to simply wreck the professional legal advice offered to the government, and to turn the judiciary into a system staffed by political appointees," Sa'ar said, after Levin accused the Attorney-General of viewing the Justice Minister as a "potted plant."
