The Forgotten Message

"Hashem your G-d will bring you to the Land of which your forefathers took possession, and you shall take possession of it. He will do good to you and make you more numerous than your forefathers."

This week finds Israel in a diplomatic storm. The world is in an uproar, Israel, its Prime Minister, Defense Minister and other diplomats have been scrambling to head off the vote by the U.N. President Obama and other nations the world over are telling us that the only real answer is for direct negotiations between the sides.

Israel itself at this time would do just about anything for talks to start again, promising the Palestinians anything they want to hear just to avoid this confrontation between the nations.

It's a given that at this point, what is on the table is that the entire heartland of Israel, Yehuda and Shomron, would be handed over to the Palestinians. What is now left is just a matter of working out the small details: what to do with the Jewish settlements that are standing in the way of progress, standing in the way of real peace.

All of Israel is holding its breath, all are waiting to see what will unfold and how the local Arabs will react.

But of all the solutions that have been discussed and re-discussed countless times, no one has taken into account what the Master of the World has to say. "On that day the L-rd made a covenant with Abraham, saying, To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates..."

Where, then, is that voice, where is that cry from our leaders who are now in front of the world stage? Where is the one who will arise and state the facts as they are: the entire Land of Israel belongs only to the Jewish people, not by the rights of the UN or as a place for them to find security, but because G-d Himself has given the Land over to His people.

This is the real issue at hand. Today the nations of the world - from Russia to China to Brazil - have a struggle with the L-rd. They have a claim against G-d. No matter how each nations will vote - to have a state for the Palestinians, or to have direct negotiations with Israel - it all means the same: Take away the Land from the Jewish people.

For what rights do we Jews have over Tel Aviv or Netanya, any more than Beit El or Hebron? It certainly all stems from our rights to land from the Bible and G-d's promise to us.

I am waiting for that one person to arise and tell the world that the emporer has no clothes, that all the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people - not this bogus talk of creating a Palestinian people that never existed  before in history, but serves the nations well in order to take the Land away from its rightful owners - the Jewish people. Why is it a given that they will take away the heartland of Israel, that it's a done deal???

Let us be that voice of Avraham, who stood up to the entire world and told them that there is but one G-d. That one small voice among the entire world: to say the entire Land of Israel belongs only to the Jewish people!
