Ghassan Al-Dheini, head of the Abu Shabab militia, says his group is helping Israel cripple Hamas in Gaza.

Yasser Abu Shabab, a leader of Gaza militias in eastern Rafah who in recent months has worked together with Israel, has been assassinated.

Yasser Abu Shabab claims that four Hamas terrorists surrendered to his men in Rafah. In footage, one of them is seen discussing Hamas activities. The terrorists were handed over to the IDF.

Fragmented militias gain influence in Israeli-controlled areas of Gaza as BBC reports rising tensions, competing loyalties, and uncertainty over their future roles.

The Abu Shabab militia, operating in coordination with Israeli forces, has been tasked with securing reconstruction efforts in Rafah, as discussions continue over their future role once the IDF withdraws.

'Does someone who kidnaps and murders children like the Bibas family really have any right to judge others? These are despicable, lowly subhumans whose end is near,' says head of Israeli-backed militia, Yasser Abu Shabab.

Yasser Abu Shabab in an interview with the British Guardian: "We do not work directly with the Israeli army. Humanitarian aid is stolen in areas controlled by Hamas."
