Fighting Antisemitism with one hand
Fighting Antisemitism with one hand

About my recent “Still mad as hell” column, someone reminded me that when Vanessa Redgrave made those critical remarks against Israel, she also came out against anti-Semitism.

How cute.

So yes, I heard what she said, and I was not fooled, and neither was Paddy Chayefsky when he berated her back then at the 1978 Oscars.

To this day, that happens to be a famous trick among certain people, when on the one hand they vilify the Jewish State, and Jews all around, and then protest, “Who me?”

Don’t you dare, they say. I can’t be anti-Semitic. I am against all forms of prejudice and bigotry.

It’s like the pig who says it’s kosher because it has split hooves…but won’t show the rest; the part that makes it trayf.

Even Farrakhan will deny that he is anti-Semitic. He does not hate all Jews. No, sir. Only some of us.

Gee, thanks.

They are clever, how first they malign, and then run for cover under the pretext that they are even holier than thee.

They are good with razzle-dazzle and the sucker punch you don’t see coming.

If you call them out, YOU become the “racist.”

That is precisely the pattern among today’s Democrats, particularly those 23 running to unseat President Trump.

Take, for instance, Pete Buttigieg, who, it appears, speaks for the lot of them when he signals that with him, and them, in office, Israel will have no pal in the White House.

But, American Jews, don’t forget to vote Democrat, because “we stand for equality and fight anti-Semitism at every turn.”

They all read from the same teleprompter.
That was NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio just the other day, with words to that effect, when you know words mean nothing to him. Whatever it takes to make a sale.

But why pick on de Blasio, when it’s the same message from all of them? They all read from the same teleprompter.

Take Joe Biden, please, the frontrunner, except that he may just be cheap speed, as we call it in horse racing, when the sharpest horse out of the gate, tires at the end.

On Monday, he is firmly for China. On Wednesday, taking orders from headquarters, he is firmly against China.

Now go trust these people on Israel, or upon their true feelings on anti-Semitism…or ANYTHING.  It’s magic how quickly they turn.

The question is – how gullible are we supposed to be?

Plenty, it seems.

The evidence shows that American Jewish voters will still go to the polls eyes wide shut.

Yes, we hear that a few of them are leaving the Party. So? Rather than 80 percent, mark it 78 percent voting for a candidate who is no friend.

One day, perhaps, we will learn to be as smart as our enemies.
