The Prime Minister's Bureau said that following recent security-related events, it was unanimously decided at a meeting of coalition leaders to postpone a vote on the bill seeking to apply sovereignty across Judea and Samaria.

The bill had been due for a vote today by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation, but it was decided to deal with it at the meeting of coalition leaders, which, as stated, postponed discussion of the bill.

Head of the Land of Israel Lobby MK Yoav Kish (Likud) responded to the news. "I believe that this is the best and most appropriate time to bring up the bill for sovereignty, and therefore I refused to remove it from the agenda. Even so, I accept the position of coalition leaders who chose to postpone the proposal for discussion at a different time. I will continue to act in this direction because of the tremendous importance of the matter. Only a Likud government headed by Netanyahu can pass it responsibly. "

Last Thursday, Arutz Sheva reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu was preventing a vote in the Ministerial Committee for Legislation on the bill which seeks to gradually apply Israeli sovereignty to communities across Judea and Samaria.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation, which brings together party leaders from the coalition every Sunday, determines which proposals are adopted by the coalition, and which are not.

Coalition members are obliged to back bills supported by the committee, effectively guaranteeing passage.

The bill, submitted by MK Kish, was supposed to have been brought to a vote in the committee today, Sunday, but the Prime Minister instructed to hold off on the vote in the meantime.

Tourism Minister Yariv Levin (Likud) told Arutz Sheva that the bill was to be brought for a discussion in the meeting of coalition leaders, but not in the Ministerial Committee for Legislation until Israel coordinates its activities on the matter with the Trump administration.
