A Youtube video captures the moment in which a Jewish man threw hot tea in the face of MK Ahmed Tibi (Raam Taal) on Thursday.

Tibi was in Be’er Sheva as part of a protest against the Prawer plan for legalizing the Bedouin settlements in the Negev. He suffered light injuries from the hot tea.

The man who threw the tea was arrested. Tibi later released a statement blaming the political right for the attack.

Tibi also recently participated in a large-scale riot against the Prawer Plan, in which Bedouins attacked police with rocks, causing injuries.

Earlier this year he was briefly banned from chairing Knesset debates after pouring water over a copy of the Prawer plan at the Knesset podium - and damaging expensive sound equipment in the process.

Tibi is a former advisor to Yasser Arafat and has been involved in countless incidents of incitement, including a speech praising Arab terrorist “martyrs” he delivered at Ramallah. For years, he had a poster of Arafat in his Knesset bureau, visible to people passing in the corridor.

He enjoys using foul language against Jewish MKs, as he did recently when he said that Economics Minister Naftali Bennett "thinks with his backside."

In 1996, MK Yael Dayan (Labor) was attacked in Hevron by a Jewish man who threw hot tea in her face. The man, Yisrael Lederman, was sentenced to 3 years in jail.
