INN TV recently toured Yekev Tura (the Tura winery) which is located in the community of Rechelim in Samaria (next to Ariel).
Established in 2003, today the winery produces 14,000 bottles with four different types of wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and a port-style dessert wine called Portura.
“We are the vine-growers as well as the winemakers and we grow the grapes on Har Bracha,” explained Vered Ben-Saadon of Yekev Tura. “There is a very unique terroir there which produces the most quality grapes. Today, many wineries are willing to pay any price in order to get grapes from Har Bracha.”
Ben-Saadon noted that despite the differences between left and right, there are absolutely no arguments about the quality of the wine in Samaria, something which even the most extreme of leftists agree with.
“Many people come here from all over Israel and from all over the world,” she said. “Not all of them agree with our opinions but there is one thing that everyone agrees about and that is about the quality of the wine. There’s no argument about that.”
