Cry out to Hashem - look what has happened almost overnight
Cry out to Hashem - look what has happened almost overnight
The Torah tells us that the Jews in Egypt cried out to Hashem in their suffering, and He heard their cry in the merit of His Covenant with Avraham, Yitzhak, and Yaacov.

What are we waiting for? The time has come to cry out to Hashem. There is no vaccine against Coronavirus. There is no medicine. The Government of Israel can take protective measures, but only Hashem can save us.

We have to do everything we can do to combat the plague, and follow all Ministry of Health instructions, but, don’t delude yourselves any longer, the salvation will only come from Hashem. He is King of the World, and He has sent the deadly, crown-shaped corona germ to remind us.

The time has come to cry out to Hashem.

Let me be blunt. There isn’t time to search for nice words.

On a worldwide basis, people sought to separate G-d from the world. They bowed down to false and empty religions and chased after material lusts, redefined the family. In Israel, many people wanted to separate Torah from the State. They vehemently protested against Jewish values and Halakha.

Poof! Look what has happened, almost overnight.

  • They mandated to teach in schools that it is perfectly OK for redefine the family and, lo and behold, no more school.
  • They wanted gay parades, and there are no more large gatherings.
  • They wanted businesses to stay open on Shabbat, and lo and behold, no more businesses.
  • They wanted public transportation on Shabbat and, now, no more public transportation on Shabbat.
  • They wanted to ignore the laws of Jewish chastity, and now, single boys and girls, and adulterers, have a concrete reason to think twice before they touch.
  • They wanted leftist theater and provocative modern dance, and now, lo and behold, the houses of culture have closed.
  • They wanted to live together in peace with enemies, and now they live apart.
  • They wanted to travel all over the world more than anything, and no more travel.
  • Others wanted to abandon the Land of Israel and not make Aliyah, and now the country’s borders are closed.
  • Others thought they could continue mouthing prayers in shul while waiting for the Service to end, and now, the houses of worship are closing.
  • And most astounding:  It is quite a thing to see European countries that were boycotting Jewish products in Yesha a few months ago now on economic lockdown themselves.

Who has done all this if not Hashem? Get with it people! All of us! Open your eyes! “Something is going on, Mr. Jones, and you don’t know what it is.”

It is time to cry out to Hashem!
