"Democrats" MK Gilad Kariv published a message in Arabic following the incident in Khirbet Tuba in the Judea Brigade sector, during which the IDF reported that Israeli civilians set fire to homes and assaulted Palestinian Arabs in the area.
The isolated incident follows a string of terror attacks by local Arabs, in which Jews were attacked and even killed by local Arabs, as well as multiple acts of arson against Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.
Kariv described the incidents as "settler terrorism" and called for decisive action against those responsible.
In the Arabic-language message, Kariv argued that such incidents should not be described as riots.
"When homes are set on fire, when people are injured, this is not a riot - it is terrorism," he said.
Kariv added: "As long as the State of Israel does not understand that what is happening in Palestinian villages at the hands of extremist settlers is terrorism, it will not be able to deal with the problem."
Addressing Israel's Arab public, Kariv pledged on behalf of the "Democrats" party to define such incidents as "acts of terrorism," emphasizing that "terrorism must be dealt with firmly and decisively."
"We will put an end to the acts of terrorism committed by violent and extremist settlers," Kariv concluded.
