In an almost unprecedented move, three Rabbis from Beitar Illit have broken standard protocol to issue an emergency joint letter. The reason for this unusual step? A young Jewish woman from their community is trapped in a foreign prison, and her condition is rapidly deteriorating.

This woman cannot afford the legal representation needed to navigate the foreign justice system. Her family's financial situation is "extremely dire, and they are unable to even begin to fund the legal and logistical expenses needed to help her."

"The circumstances that led to her imprisonment are heartbreaking", the letter states. The woman, from what the rabbis describe as an "important and esteemed family" known personally to their Rabbinical Court, faces mounting physical and emotional dangers in foreign imprisonment.

The deteriorating conditions and ongoing threats make immediate action critical for her survival and return to safety. "Her physical and emotional state is rapidly deteriorating, and the danger to her is great and ongoing."

"Every moment she remains captive, the obligation to act becomes greater - and every delay brings danger closer, G-d forbid", they write. The Rabbinical Court in Beitar Illit calls for a mass global effort to bring her home.

Led by Rabbi Tzvi Braverman, the three respected rabbis have issued what they call "a true Pidyon Shvuyim (redemption of captives) of the highest order". This urgent case requires community action to save a life - every moment counts for her freedom.

"We turn to you with urgency and a heartfelt plea: to save a Jewish daughter currently in grave and terrifying distress", the emergency appeal states.
