The US State Department announced Monday that its Rewards for Justice program is offering rewards of up to $10 million, along with possible relocation, for information on senior commanders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The program is seeking information on five senior Iranian officials: IRGC commander Ahmad Vahidi; Ali Abdollahi, head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters; Saeed Aghajani, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force's drone unit; Hamidreza Lashgarian, who heads the IRGC Cyber-Electronic Command; and Majid Khademi, commander of the IRGC Intelligence Office.
Vahidi has become an increasingly prominent figure within Iran's leadership in recent months. He was reportedly a key force behind Tehran's decision to launch missile attacks against Israel and took a hardline stance during negotiations with Washington.
The Rewards for Justice program has previously offered rewards of up to $10 million and potential relocation for information leading to the capture of other senior Iranian officials.
Those previously targeted include Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who was appointed following the death of his father at the beginning of the war; Ali Asghar Hejazi, the former Supreme Leader's deputy chief of staff; Yahya Rahim Safavi, a senior military adviser to the Supreme Leader; and Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, among other senior figures.
