The police's National Unit for International Investigations has arrested an Eritrean citizen, Kabri Gabrius, who lives in Tel Aviv, on suspicion of assisting a terror group.
Gabrius, 22, is suspected of involvement in a terror group that operates in the Sinai Desert. He is believed to have been raising funds and collecting intelligence information for it.
The list of offenses he is suspected of includes transferring money to a terror group, carrying out a property transaction for terror purposes, conspiracy to commit a crime and money laundering.
He was brought Tuesday before a judge in Rishon LeTzion, where his remand was extended by five days. According to Maariv, he was arrested near Hevron, and a large amount of money was found in his car. he claimed the money was intended for buying land.
The two other suspects arrested with Gabrius are an Arab with Israeli citizenship and an Arab from the Palestinian Authority.
