Defense Minister Israel Katz on Monday morning said Israel would launch a comprehensive campaign against Palestinian Authority terror infrastructure.
Following a stabbing attack at the Maoz Yehuda farm in Samaria, Katz said, "I wish a speedy recovery to the victim of the stabbing in Samaria."
He promised, "The IDF will pursue and capture the terrorist. Our policy in Judea and Samaria is clear: to vigorously pursue Palestinian terrorism, develop and strengthen Jewish communities, and maintain security stability."
"Terrorism in Judea and Samaria is currently at its lowest level in decades, and we will take every step necessary to prevent terrorism from raising its head again.
"If there is a turning of the guns, and the Palestinian Authority security forces and affiliated bodies launch - or we know with certainty that they are about to launch - an October 7-style terrorist attack against IDF troops and Jewish communities, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have instructed the IDF to prepare to launch an all-out war against the PA leadership, its systems, and affiliated bodies, and against all terrorist infrastructure in Judea and Samaria, in order to bring about their complete defeat as quickly as possible."
Katz stressed, "We will not allow a return to a reality of an intifada lasting for years, as happened in the past. Instead, we will launch an all-out campaign against the [Palestinian] Authority and all terrorist infrastructure in Judea and Samaria, including targeted eliminations of senior figures, evacuating residents of cities and villages from which terrorist activity is carried out, eliminating the terrorists, destroying all terrorist infrastructure there, and keeping the IDF in the evacuated territory - exactly as we did in the security zones in Gaza and Lebanon, and as we also acted in the refugee camps in Jenin and northern Samaria.
"We will not allow a return to the reality of October 7, and we will ensure the security of Israel's residents and communities everywhere."
