A terrorist arrived by vehicle at the Maoz Yehuda farm and spoke with a resident who approached him. During the encounter, the terrorist stabbed the resident in the hand and fled the scene.
Emergency responders called to the scene began treating the Jewish man moderately-to-seriously wounded in the stabbing attack. At the same time, security forces launched searches in an effort to locate the terrorist.
While receiving medical treatment, the victim recounted the moments in which he was attacked, saying, "A Palestinian terrorist arrived at the farm in a commercial vehicle, asked where my weapon was, and then got out with a knife, attacked me, stabbed me several times, and fled."
Emergency medical technician Aviel Mamalia said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a young man about 20 years old, fully conscious, with several stab wounds to his body. We provided him with initial medical treatment together with an IDF medical team, and he was evacuated to the hospital in moderate to serious condition."
Meanwhile, security forces launched searches in an effort to track down the terrorist. Forces participating in the manhunt include troops from the Duvdevan Unit, the Nahal Reconnaissance Battalion, and Combat Intelligence Collection units. Following the manhunt, the terrorist - whose identity was known to security forces - was located and eliminated.
The IDF said, "A report was received regarding an attempted stabbing attack near the area of Usarin. IDF soldiers have been dispatched to the area."
Later, the IDF added, "Following the report regarding a stabbing attack in the area of Usarin, a terrorist armed with a knife stabbed an Israeli civilian and fled the area. Multiple IDF soldiers were dispatched to the area and launched a pursuit after the terrorist. The IDF has imposed a cordon on villages in the area."
"IDF soldiers located the terrorist near his vehicle in the area of Qabalan," the IDF said after the terrorist's elimination. "The terrorist attempted to stab the soldiers. An IDF commander responded with fire and eliminated him."
"IDF soldiers will continue to operate to thwart terrorism and maintain security in Judea and Samaria."
Police stated: "A short time ago, a report was received of a stabbing victim at the Maoz Yehuda farm near the community of Usarin in Samaria. Police forces from the Judea and Samaria District are on their way to the scene."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "No terrorist can hide. I commend our heroic fighters who engaged the enemy and eliminated the terrorist who carried out the attack in Samaria."
"I wish a complete recovery to the farm owner who was wounded in the attack.
"We will continue to eliminate terrorists, hunt down those who dispatch them, and destroy the terrorist infrastructure in Judea and Samaria. Anyone who tries to threaten the State of Israel and its citizens will pay a heavy price."
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee responded: "This won’t get the international attention that attacks on Palestinians receive but it’s a daily occurrence that Israelis have to live with. 🙏 for the 'Peace of Jerusalem.'"
