National Security Minister and Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir criticized the Likud's newly-unveiled election slogan, "Likud - A Broad National Government."
"The Likud's slogan is very concerning and reflects the Prime Minister's intention to form a government with [Yashar! chairman Gadi] Eisenkot," Ben Gvir said. "A unity government with Eisenkot would bury the judicial reform and constitute a complete victory for [Attorney General] Gali Baharav-Miara and [Supreme Court President] Yitzhak Amit."
Last year, Baharav-Miara was fired, but asked the Supreme Court to intervene. Thereafter, the Supreme Court illegally overturned her dismissal. Last month, Baharav-Miara demanded that all government ministers consult her before making any moves during the transition period leading up to the elections.
Ben Gvir added, "Eisenkot and Gantz are full-fledged leftists who, when they were in the government, thwarted the capture of the Philadelphi Corridor, the capture of Rafah, the seizure of the security zone in Lebanon, the elimination of [Hezbollah leader Hassan] Nasrallah, and the beeper operation. They demanded complete surrender to Hamas' demands. Right-wing voters deserve a right-wing government."
Meanwhile, Netanyahu's opponents also criticized the slogan, with Yisrael Beytenu chairman MK Avigdor Liberman saying, "Netanyahu's election slogan: 'A broad national government.' Netanyahu's slogan in the Knesset: 'A broad draft-dodging alliance.'"
