The body of Sagi Mor, an Israeli father of four who went missing earlier this week, has been found in Thailand following a day-long search.
Mor, a 45-year-old father of four from Qela Alon, had gone missing in the sea off the coast of Koh Phangan.
Mor had entered the water at Chaloklum Beach in an attempt to rescue his son, who had been swept away by a strong current. The child managed to return to the shore safely on his own.
Sagi had arrived in Thailand for an extended family trip with his wife Inbal and their four children. The vacation had been planned in advance as an opportunity to spend quality time together and explore the islands and northern parts of the country.
Inbal, Sagi’s wife, said: “In these painful hours, I want to wholeheartedly thank the good people who mobilized to save Sagi - the hundreds of volunteers who searched all night along the nearby shores, the Magen team, Clal Insurance, the Chabad House, and the Foreign Ministry for their constant support.”
