The Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Crown Heights held a ceremony renaming a historic street and revealing a building expansion, COLLIVE reported.

The block on Crown Street will now be known as, "Tomchei Temimim Way," after the yeshiva.

COLLIVE quoted yeshiva dean Rabbi Yosef SImpson as saying, "For over three decades, this building on Crown Street has been a pillar of true chassidishe chinuch in Crown Heights."

"Now, the street name Tomchei Temimim Way reflects the far reaching impact of this holy and significant place."

Construction to expand the yeshiva began about one year ago.
