A shooting attack was carried out Saturday against an IDF force near Nabi Ilyas in Samaria.
One soldier was lightly injured in the attack.
Initial investigations show that the terrorists fired from a passing vehicle at the IDF position, during a routine vehicle inspection by the soldiers. The force responded by firing at the vehicle, but the vehicle continued driving. IDF forces began pursuit of the vehicle and deployed roadblocks in the area.
The soldier, who was lightly injured in the attack, will be taken for further treatment. It is presumed that he was likely hit by shrapnel.

Klein was in uniform when terrorists overtook his vehicle and opened fire on him as he drove on the highway that leads from the settlement of Shavei Shomron to the town of Einav. Klein lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and overturned. He was declared dead a short time later. The terrorists' vehicle continued driving. IDF forces began a pursuit of the terrorists.
