Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu and Shas chief MK Aryeh Deri aim to sign a coalition agreement on Wednesday night.
Sources close to the negotiations have said that there is a great deal of motivation to sign a coalition deal as soon as possible.
According to Channel 12 News analyst Amit Segal, Shas is expected to forgo the Transportation Ministry, but receive the Interior, Health, and Religious Affairs ministries, as well as two additional ministries.
It is not clear if one of the additional ministries will be the Negev and Galilee Ministry, which Otzma Yehudit chair MK Itamar Ben-Gvir also desires.
Thus far, it appears that Deri will be appointed Substitute Prime Minister, with actual responsibilities.
At the same time, sources involved in the negotiations have clarified that the sides have not yet reached complete agreements on major issues important to the haredi parties, such as the Draft Law, Shabbat (Sabbath) observance in public spaces, the Law of Return, and others.
The reports also said that Netanyahu is aiming to sign coalition agreements with United Torah Judaism and Otzma Yehudit on Wednesday night, so as to increase pressure on Religious Zionism to reach agreements as well, so that a government can be sworn in early next week.
