A 84-year-old man was killed today (Sunday) after falling from a height while building a sukkah on the balcony of his home on Matityahu Street in the Etzion Junction neighborhood of Efrat.
Emergency responders declared him dead at the scene, provided care to the deceased with due respect, and collected evidence from the location. The deceased was released for burial within the day.
ZAKA volunteers commented "This was a painful incident. The deceased fell from a height while coming to build a sukkah on his home’s balcony. MDA crews had to declare him dead at the scene. Together with additional volunteers, we operated at the scene to respectfully remove the deceased and to collect evidence."
