The Hezbollah terror group on Friday night launched a drone towards IDF soldiers in the Security Zone. The soldiers fired towards the drone, intercepting it, and there were no injuries.
Following this, the IDF struck terrorists and infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the southern Lebanon area.
As part of the strikes, the IDF struck weapon storage facilities intended to be used by Hezbollah terrorists to plan and direct terror attacks against IDF soldiers in the Security Zone and Israeli civilians.
"The strikes were carried out to remove an immediate threat," the IDF emphasized.
The statement warned, "The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm Israeli civilians or IDF soldiers, and will continue operating to remove threats while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement."
