An 8-year-old boy was seriously injured Sunday morning after falling from a height on Emek Yizrael Street in Bnei Brak.
Magen David Adom paramedics and EMTs provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
According to MDA, the boy fell from a height of approximately 12 meters. He was evacuated in serious condition, unconscious and suffering from a head injury.
Senior MDA EMT Yosef Pesach said: “We saw the boy lying on the ground unconscious with a severe head injury after falling from a great height. We provided him with lifesaving medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital in serious condition."
Hatzalah EMTs Yossi Pesach and Yaakov Tehrani said they found the boy with an impaired level of consciousness and suffering from multiple traumatic injuries after falling from a height of four stories.
“Together with Hatzalah and MDA EMTs, we provided him with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and bandaging, and evacuated him in serious condition for further medical treatment in the trauma room at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva," they said.
According to initial suspicions, the boy was locked in his room on the fourth floor of the building and attempted to get out through the balcony. During the attempt, he fell into the building’s parking lot. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
