The IDF late on Sunday night struck two Hamas terrorists in the Deir al-Balah area in the central Gaza Strip.

In the strike, Mohammad Abd al-Nasser Jabr Abu Asaad, a Nukba terrorist in Hamas' military wing who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the October 7th Massacre, was eliminated.

Recently, the terrorists had been planning to advance terror attacks targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians and attempted to rehabilitate the terrorist organization, while systematically violating the ceasefire.

The strike was conducted in order to remove the threat, the IDF stressed.

"IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat," the IDF warned following the strikes.
