An Israeli citizen, approximately 35 years old, was found lifeless in his hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand, while vacationing in the country. The man was married and the father of one daughter.
ZAKA said that upon receiving the report, its International Division began working with local authorities to ensure the deceased was treated with dignity and to complete the procedures necessary to release his body and fly it to Israel.
ZAKA's International Division is working together with Rabbi Nechemia Wilhelm, the Chabad-Lubavitch emissary in Thailand, the Foreign Ministry, and other officials in an effort to bring the deceased to Israel for burial as soon as possible.
Earlier, it was reported that a young Israeli man was killed last Wednesday in a motorcycle accident in the Ban Mo Thao area of Kanchanaburi Province.
According to reports from the scene, the young man was riding a heavy motorcycle when he collided with a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. Rescue and emergency personnel who arrived at the scene were forced to pronounce him dead. His body was subsequently transferred in accordance with local procedures for examination at a hospital.
