Israel will continue to see high temperatures throughout the week, with temperatures in the Jordan Valley reaching 44°C (111°F).
Monday morning will be cloudy, with the skies clearing as the day wears on. The Jordan Valley is forecast to see the highest temperatures during the heat wave, reaching around 44°C (111°F), while temperatures are expected to climb to as high as 34°C (93°F) in the mountains and up to 38°C (100°F) in the lowlands and southern Israel.
The unusually hot conditions will persist through Tuesday. Dry weather is expected in the mountains and inland areas, while the coastal plain will remain humid.
On Wednesday, temperatures will drop slightly, mostly in the mountains and inland regions. Even so, temperatures will remain above the seasonal average.
Thursday will see an additional drop in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland areas, but temperatures will remain above average for the season. Skies are expected to stay clear, with dry conditions continuing inland and in the mountains, high humidity along the coast, and heavy to extreme heat stress across most areas of the country.
