The Israel Dog Unit launched two successful searches to rescue two missing persons over last Shabbat.

The first operation began shortly before the onset of Shabbat on Friday, when IDU volunteers were dispatched to the Emanuel area in central Samaria to search for 16-year-old Shlomo Kleinerman, who had been missing since July 10. Volunteers conducted extensive searches, combined with in-depth inquiries and the deployment of the unit's specialized search capabilities.

After hours of searching, an IDU volunteer located the teenager safe and unharmed, bringing the operation to a successful conclusion.

A second search operation took place over Shabbos after 24-year-old Aharon Matityahu Bakerman disappeared from the Beit Shemesh area on July 11. The search began as Shabbat ended, and carried on for several days.

The search included helicopters, drones, ATVs, hundreds of volunteers, and the participation of numerous rescue organizations. Bakerman was evetually found safe and in good health.
