Rabbi Chaim Yitzhak Isaac Landau, the rabbi of Bnei Brak, called on city residents not to approach impact sites around the city.

The call comes after the city suffered dozens of impact sites, and security forces faced difficulties in dealing with large numbers of onlookers arriving at the scenes and disrupting their ability to provide assistance to the families whose homes were damaged.

On Saturday night, Rabbi Landau issued a special recorded message to all city residents, stressing the obligation to follow Home Front Command guidelines and avoid gathering near impact sites due to the danger.

The municipality also called on parents to ensure their children do not go to the impact zones and to safeguard their safety.

A joint municipal meeting was held Saturday night in Bnei Brak City Hall with city leadership and Israel Police, in light of the gatherings at impact locations. During the meeting, the mayor requested that a strict message be sent to all the city's residents in the name of the city's rabbis, and played Rabbi Landau's recorded message.

He also stressed that, according to the city’s rabbis, it is strictly forbidden to approach and gather at impact areas, since in addition to the immediate danger to human life which the impact sites present, such gatherings interfere with emergency and rescue forces in carrying out their duties and may delay life-saving operations.
