Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced that Cairo will convene an international conference aimed at the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip following the war.
Speaking at the G20 summit in South Africa, Madbouly stated that the recent peace conference in Sharm el-Sheikh led to the cessation of hostilities in Gaza and laid the groundwork for a more stable and prosperous Middle East.
Madbouly called for the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution concerning the situation in Gaza and urged the launch of the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s initiative to address the dire humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
He emphasized the need for unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, immediate commencement of reconstruction efforts, and renewed efforts to resolve the Palestinian Arab issue on the basis of the two-state solution.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority continues its campaign against what it refers to as “settler terrorism,” which it claims targets Palestinian Arab residents and property in Judea and Samaria.
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas, placed full responsibility on the Israeli government for halting what he described as “escalating attacks,” alleging they occur with the backing and protection of the IDF.
