A memorial ceremony was held Thursday morning at the national leaders' section on Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem in honor of those fallen in the Swords of Iron war which broke out following the October 7 massacre.
The ceremony is attended by President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the heads of the security establishment.
1,158 Israeli military casualties have fallen since October 7. In the last two weeks, six more casualties were added to the toll, including two reserve soldiers, two conscripted soldiers, one career soldier, and a fallen soldier whose body was take hostage who was brought for burial in Israel.
