A special meeting was recently held at the Israel Dog Unit (IDU) headquarters in Kfar Tapuach with Avichai Tanami, recently appointed by Defense Minister Israel Katz as the special coordinator for addressing the issue of hilltop youth in Judea and Samaria. The meeting was attended by IDU director Yekutiel Ben-Yaakov and Nadav Yair, a senior trainer for the IDF.

Ben-Yaakov commented, "We were honored to host Col. Tanami at our main base in Kfar Tapuach. For the past 25 years, the Israel Dog Unit has operated across the country, assisting all Israeli citizens in both missing persons searches and security efforts. We've provided hundreds of working dogs to protect Israeli homesteads in threatened areas and continue to train security guards, community emergency squads, Israeli forces, and youth in Judea and Samaria in handling working dogs."

"Over the years, our efforts have helped prevent dozens of terror attacks. We welcome the opportunity to work hand in hand with any organization that turns to us for support in this vital mission—strengthening Israeli communities and safeguarding their residents."
