
Red alert sirens were activated in Tel Aviv, Rishon Lezion, and other communities throughout central Israel at approximately 3:30 p.m. this afternoon (Tuesday) as terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched a barrage of 15 rockets at Tel Aviv.
Residents of central Israel reported hearing multiple explosions as the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted many of the rockets.
A man in his forties person was lightly injured when rocket debris struck an educational institution in northern Tel Aviv. Rocket debris also caused damage to a car in Holon.
Earlier Tuesday afternoon, two people were wounded when a rocket struck a residential building in the southern city of Ashkelon.
The victims, both women in their sixties, were treated for shrapnel wounds.
