
Winter weather returned to Israel Monday, after a sunny, warm weekend.
Local rainfall will continue Monday, from northern Israel to the northern Negev. There is a slight chance of flooding in the Judean Desert streams, and in the Dead Sea area. Temperatures will drop, to lower than seasonal average, especially inland and in the mountains.
Harsh winds will continue to blow in most areas of Israel. Beginning in the afternoon hours, the winds and rain will gradually lessen.
Monday night will be partly cloudy or cloudy, with light local rainfall in northern and central Israel.
In northern and central Israel, the light rains are expected to continue through Tuesday morning. Temperatures will remain below seasonal average.
Wednesday will see temperatures rise, though harsh eastern winds will blow in the northern mountains.
