Staff Sergeant Eytan Dishon, age 21 from Jerusalem, fell while fighting in Gaza, the IDF confirmed Monday.

Dishon was a soldier in the Givati Brigade, and fell during battle in northern Gaza. He studied in the Neve Shmuel Yeshiva in the city of Efrat in Gush Etzion, and later in the hesder yeshiva in Kiryat Shmona.

Dishon's father is a Lieutenant Colonel doing reserve duty, and received the notification of his son's death while serving in the field.

Dishon's death brings the number of soldiers who fell since the beginning of the ground incursion to 66.

Earlier on Monday, the IDF announced that Staff sergeant Dvir Barazani, 20, from Jerusalem, and Sergeant Yinon Tamir, 20, from Pardes Hanna-Karkur, had fallen while fighting Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Both served in the 890th Battalion, the Paratroopers Brigade.
