Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant (Likud) during a visit to Israel’s northern border warned Hezbollah not to continue its aggression against Israel.

Gallant warned, "My message to Lebanese citizens: I see Gazan civilians evacuating [their homes] and walking along the beach, heading south as they carry white flags [because of Hamas]. Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon to a possible war, and is making mistakes. If [Hezbollah] will make such mistakes here, the first to pay the price will be the citizens."

"What we can do in Gaza, we can also do in Beirut," he emphasized.

Gallant's remarks came at the completion of a situational assessment near the border with Lebanon, together with Commander of the IDF’s Division 91 and additional senior officers serving in the region.

Upon completing the assessment, Minister Gallant held an open discussion with soldiers and reservists stationed in the area. Minister Gallant expressed his appreciation for their defense operations, as well as for their actions in thwarting terrorists and eliminating terror targets in Lebanon.

"I have come here in order to conduct a situation assessment in light of Hezbollah’s aggression - it’s no longer just provocations," he told them. "Our pilots are sitting in their cockpits, their aircraft facing north. We have enough in order to do everything necessary in the southern arena, however the Air Force is facing north and its power is great. We haven’t even used ten percent of the IAF’s power in Gaza."
