On Tuesday morning, a Palestinian Authority woman approached the Qalandiya checkpoint near Jerusalem and attempted to stab the security forces stationed there.
Witnesses say she drew a knife and Hamas flag and charged towards the checkpoint, before being neutralized by gunfire from the checkpoint guards.
No further casualties were reported in the incident.
According to reports from the scene, the security forces repeatedly warned the woman to stop before they opened fire. She was taken to Hadassah Hospital for treatment.
