In the face of unprecedented challenges, the Ministry of Defense stated that it "reaffirms its unwavering commitment to providing support for newly bereaved families during the "Swords of Iron" conflict. This commitment extends to the families of soldiers, policemen, and Shin Bet personnel who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty."

The Ministry of Defense is taking proactive steps to assist these bereaved families during this difficult time. In collaboration with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the IMoD is conducting a comprehensive operation to ensure that those who have given their lives for their country receive a suitable burial. Over 230 funerals have been held in military cemeteries and dedicated plots located in approximately 90 towns nationwide. This endeavor is made possible through the dedicated efforts of hundreds of employees, IDF soldiers, and volunteers.

Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Eyal Zamir, visited the IMoD Department of Families and Commemoration together with additional senior ministry officials. Director General Zamir expressed his deep appreciation for the staff tirelessly navigating this complex and sensitive mission.

The Ministry of Defense "remains steadfast in its commitment to honoring and supporting those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, security personnel and families alike."
