MK Hamad Amar (Yisrael Beytenu) told Arutz Sheva-Israel National News on Thursday that his party was not invited to the newly formed emergency government and would likely join it if invited.
"We said clearly, Yisrael Beytenu has a demand that every Israeli demands - the elimination of Hamas and the elimination of all Hamas leaders, and to end the matter of agreements and bringing in of cash [to the Gaza Strip]. So far no one has contacted us, when they contact us, we will join. I did not imagine in any scenario that we would come to this situation. That entire families are wiped out, burned, that our soldiers are captured. In this situation we must win and restore security to the State of Israel," MK Amar said.
He added, "There are very difficult feelings. I have seen the most horrific things. We are not dealing with human beings, but with animals. The situation before the seventh of October is not the same as what it will be after the seventh of October. Today is the time to unite. We are all united for this purpose - Victory and only victory."
In conclusion, he commented on the possibility that Israeli Arabs will riot during the war. "The Arab citizens of the State of Israel, and I tell you this as a Druze, are citizens of the State of Israel. Their commitment is to the State of Israel. They live in the State of Israel. If things happen in Judea and Samaria, we will know how to deal with it."
