Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week had a conversation with Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Mike Herzog, and made accusations against him regarding the relations between Washington and Jerusalem, Channel 13 News reported on Sunday.

According to the report, the tense conversation focused on the fact that Netanyahu had not yet been invited to the White House, despite the fact that more than half a year has passed since he was elected as Prime Minister.

The report also stated that, during the conversation, Netanyahu accused Herzog, "You should have done more to get an invitation to the White House." The Ambassador replied, "I have been working for many months on finding a date for the visit, and am working with the administration on the issue."

Netanyahu claimed that Herzog is not doing enough on this issue. The Ambassador tried to provide explanations for the delay in scheduling the meeting, but this did not satisfy the Prime Minister.

Diplomatic sources claimed that the Prime Minister is very unhappy with President Isaac Herzog's planned visit to the White House this week. Netanyahu thinks that the very fact that Herzog's visit is taking places this week provides legitimacy to the Biden administration not inviting him to Washington soon.
