Demonstrators against the judicial reform on Tuesday morning launched a national "Day of Disruption" that they are holding following the approval of the bill to reduce the cause of reasonableness, which passed its first reading in the Knesset overnight.

About 30 protesters set up tents at HaSira Interchange in Herzliya, burned tires, lit flares and blocked traffic. The police arrived at the scene.

The intersection was reopened to traffic about an hour later.

In another incident, dozens of protesters hung a huge banner near the Karkur intersection which read, "No entry to dictatorship", and caused a traffic jam.

As part of the protests, demonstrations will be held on Tuesday in hundreds of locations across the country and many traffic jams are expected.

The main protests will begin at 4:00 p.m. when a "huge demonstration" is expected at Ben Gurion Airport.

At 6:30 p.m., there will be demonstrations outside the President's Residence and outside the United States embassy.

Starting at 8:00 p.m., demonstrations are expected in many localities, including a march to Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv.
